Numina reveals its new automated packing solution that eases operational difficulties and speeds up the supply chain.
FREMONT, CA: "The best measure of success for a fulfillment operation – particularly in a post-pandemic world – is getting goods quickly, accurately, and efficiently picked, packed, and shipped in time to meet customer delivery expectations," said Cody Upp, VP, Numina Group.
"The launch of Pakt is based on over 30 years of Numina Group's warehouse automation expertise in supplying systems that enable businesses to lower labor costs and increase order throughput."
As part of its warehouse automation solutions, Numina Group introduces Pakt, a pack-and-ship automation solution designed for fulfillment operations.
Through Pakt, end-of-line automation reduces pack and ship labor by 70 percent and increases throughput capacity by more than 500 percent, removing financial and operational barriers previously associated with it. Through its integration with robotic fulfillment technology, Pakt allows modern warehouses to maximize their throughput capacity.
The Pakt program aims to meet the needs of distribution centers with eight or more employees in their packing and shipping departments. Depending on the configuration, the system can handle up to 20,000 cartons and full case parcels daily. Labor costs, mistakes, and the ability to meet daily peak and seasonal demands are increased by high-touch labor processes.
By eliminating the bottlenecks after picking, Pact allows operations to match customer expectations for delivery time and speed.
"The name of the game is preventing errors from leaving your DC," Upp said. "Our goal is to remove all complexity in designing, to implement, and running the automation for the last 100 feet of fulfillment and distribution centers."
