The MENA has started incorporating AI in its businesses, boosting returns and improving international relations.
FREMONT, CA: The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) supply chain can use artificial intelligence (AI) in its transportation system to reduce carbon footprint, cost, time, and revenue. AI needs to drive innovations in transportation to keep up with resource demands. Dubai is the most lucrative stop-point in the Middle East. The value of shipments passing through this port can reach $31.41bn in 2026. The transportation system is at the heart of global dependence on resources from the MENA.
For greater returns in MENA, transportation systems leverage AI for greater returns.
AI is shaping the transportation system in the following ways:
Delivery network: MENA's delivery networks have evolved from traditional means to adopting AI to take over most functions in the supply chain. Unlike the U.S., which adopted AI but left some ground for human control, the UAE absorbed AI's efficiency in almost all processes. The MENA recognizes that AI-driven processes can contribute USD 182 billion to the economy by 2035. Strategic implementation of AI can ensure its longevity.
The need for sustainability: Fifty percent of consumer transactions along the supply chain are reducing carbon footprint. Many companies and international deals are connected with the MENA and will adopt sustainable processes as they are a part of its supply chain.
The future of AI: The MENA has a wider scope of benefiting from AI. There was 61 growth of technology hires in 2020, but it faces concerns percent of supply-chain reliability. A small segment of businesses is planning to integrate AI to reduce logistics complexities and waste resources. AI can be used to make the most of cargo. AI can also leverage political conditions. AI can help the MENA deal with current oil and gas infrastructure tensions. Implementing AI can help increase market shares while meeting new international supply chain regulations.
