Event Programme Tackles Region’s Biggest Project Cargo Challenges and Opportunities
Registration is now open for Breakbulk Asia 2026, the new event bringing together project cargo and breakbulk professionals in Singapore on 18–1G November.
More than 5,000 project cargo and breakbulk professionals are expected to attend, alongside over 200 exhibitors, senior government representatives, EPCs, cargo
owners, carriers, freight forwarders and logistics providers at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands.
“Breakbulk Asia marks an exciting new chapter for our events portfolio and reffects the growing importance of the region’s project cargo and breakbulk market,” said

The two-day event programme will include a dynamic series of thought-provoking and engaging panel sessions across the exhibition hall’s Breakbulk Live and Breakbulk
Voices stages, with expert speakers tackling hot topics from regionalisation and geopolitical tensions to offshore wind and AI.
"Singapore sits at the heart of Asia's project supply chains, making it the ideal location to launch Breakbulk Asia. As a global centre for logistics, project financing and
international trade, it brings together the organisations, investment and expertise driving the region's largest energy, infrastructure and industrial projects,” said Ben
Blamire, Event Director, Breakbulk Asia. “Combined with its outstanding connectivity and world-class event facilities, it provides the perfect environment for
companies to build relationships, share knowledge and do business."
Highlights on the Breakbulk Live stage include “Fragmentation, Flows and the Future of Trade: Asia’s New Supply Chain Reality”, examining how geopolitical
tensions are redefining trade routes and strategic corridors; “Asia Rising”, exploring the megaprojects driving project cargo demand across the region; and the
interactive debate “Where Should AI Deliver Value in a Human-Driven Project Cargo World?”
Additional sessions will delve into fleet readiness amid growing project demand, offshore wind logistics and emerging opportunities such as floating data centres, before
concluding with a discussion on China and the future skills required for the next generation of project logistics professionals.
Meanwhile, the Breakbulk Voices stage will feature practical presentations, workshops and case studies exploring Asia’s evolving project landscape. Highlights include a
presentation on sustainability across the supply chain, focussing on real-world actions being taken by forwarders, carriers and shippers, as well as discussions
examining the future of breakbulk and project cargo through to 2045.
The Voices stage will also host the live final of the inaugural Breakbulk Asia Innovation Pitches, showcasing breakthrough technologies and operational solutions in the
industry. Additional sessions will explore the growing role of green finance in project development and provide attendees with an opportunity to collaborate on real-world
operational challenges submitted by shippers, EPCs, ports and logistics providers.
Elsewhere, the popular Women in Breakbulk Breakfast will bring female professionals together to share experiences and discuss the opportunities and challenges
involved in building successful careers in maritime and logistics. NextWave Education Day will connect students with industry professionals, helping to inspire and
develop the next generation of talent.
The programme has been developed in close consultation with Breakbulk Asia’s Advisory Board, whose members represent key organisations from across the breakbulk
and project cargo supply chain. Founding members include Daniel Schoenert, Managing Director of thyssenkrupp Uhde Indonesia; Farid Belbouab, CEO of Gulftainer;
Chung Ming Law, CEO of Singapore Logistics Association; Koichi Kaizu, Subject Matter Expert at JGC Corporation; and Namir Khanbabi, general manager of Swire
Shipping.
