A family-owned and operated trucking company, ETS specializes in the transportation of bulk liquid freight, including propane, gasoline, aviation fuel, and anhydrous ammonia, as well as cargo tank inspection and repairs. With over 65 years of industry experience, it has grown to be a reliable partner for commercial, agricultural, and industrial clients.
With a keen focus on safety, ETS repairs and maintains its fleets of MC-331 propane trucks and trailers and DOT 306 and 406 trucks and trailers. An expert crew of mechanics and inspectors at its USDOT-certified cargo tank testing facility allows it to maintain its fleet while also offering a reliable mobile tank testing service to clients. They also inspect customers’ tanks and perform repairs to quickly get them back in service while ensuring they stay in compliance.
“Our impeccable record of on-time deliveries and safe material handling has earned us many awards, which stand as a testament to our commitment to excellence,” says Eric Kolkmeyer, vice president of ETS.
The recipe for ETS’ success goes beyond safety best practices; it is also in the integration of technology into daily operations. When onboarding a client, it provides them access to its dispatching software that can be integrated with their order systems.
“We are focused on implementing technology like GPS tracking to efficiently route our drivers, video cameras for safety, and electronic dispatching to track and schedule deliveries in real time. Electronic invoicing and delivery tickets also add to a customer’s convenience,” says Kolkmeyer.
To combat the challenges posed by the ongoing driver shortage, ETS is adding more drivers to its team while providing them with flexible work hours so they can deliver consistent services without being overburdened. This approach was instrumental in enabling the team to meet the needs of one of its clients, a large commercial airport, which was struggling to receive jet fuel on time. The carrier they were working with was unable to meet their demands due to driver shortages.
ETS’ continued success for over half a century stems from an incredible team that goes the extra mile to meet and exceed client expectations. The team, comprising safety and fleet maintenance directors, operations managers, and dedicated onboarding specialists, ensures every operation is conducted with utmost efficiency. With the oversight of its managers, it is able to meet customer needs and deliver excellent service in a cost-competitive way.
From humble beginnings to becoming the leading petroleum liquid hauler in the Midwest, ETS continues to carry its legacy forward, ensuring enhanced growth.
