All Chemical Transport began its journey 45 years ago when Steve Quadrel took the reins of a small chemical transportation company in Nutley, New Jersey. Starting with just one truck, five trailers, and a solitary account, his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication shaped the company into a beacon of excellence.

As a specialized truckload (TL) freight carrier, it commands a formidable fleet of approximately 127 tractors and 313 tankers, serving as the backbone of a logistics empire that has grown not only in size but also in reputation and reach.

A Successful Partnership

All Chemical Transport showcased its bespoke logistics expertise by tackling the challenge of transporting a temperature-sensitive product for one of its customers. Faced with a route stretching from the warm Texan plains to cooler Illinois, their previous bulk liquid transportation provider failed to keep the temperature as precisely controlled as it needed to be. The product coagulated rapidly, thickening in the valve and halting the delivery process. The customer was left with a trailer full of coagulated product and no way to get it shipped to its destination.

All Chemical Transport engineered a custom solution, retrofitting its tankers with advanced temperature controls to maintain the cargo’s integrity against the elements.

It was a two-pronged approach. An engine coolant was circulated through a coil to keep the product warm by moving heat from the engine directly through the trailer. At the same time, the valve stem was kept warm throughout the journey to avoid it being clogged with the product.
