A British multinational in the cleaning and personal care industry approached Runtec with specific logistics requirements that existing market solutions could not meet. By collaborating closely with the client, Runtec developed HODIE from the ground up to create a solution that not only addressed their needs but also laid the foundation for broader market adoption.

A second pivotal project was the Control Tower system. This solution is tailored to each client, with development carried out on a case-by-case basis. Runtec works closely with every company, analyzing its specific processes to deliver a fully customized solution—eliminating the need for adaptations. Runtec was founded in 2000 in Brazil, beginning as what is locally known as a “garage company.” However, unlike the common misconception that this term implies a business selling products from a garage, Runtec’s humble beginnings were marked by relentless innovation. Oliveira and his partner Adriano dedicated their nights and weekends to software development, working from their parents’ garage with a single computer.

With limited resources but an abundance of determination, they built what would become the first logistics visibility solution in Brazil. In 2025, the company will celebrate its 25th anniversary, yet it continues to operate with a young and innovative spirit. As the owner of one of the largest application suites for logistics, its solutions are used in five countries, operating with integrated technology across all links of the supply chain. Runtec has consistently innovated and expanded across Latin America, serving clients in Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Mexico. One of them, in Mexico, has been a Runtec client for more than six years.
