TEKA CARES: A Tailored Solution To Premium Last-Mile Delivery

The Post Covid era has pushed the last mile logistics to evolve on both service and visibility, and it’s becoming more and more sophisticated with the changes in technology and advancements of software tools. Immersed in this new reality, with e-commerce and home delivery at a peak, and the unprecedented global context creating significant difficulties, home appliances, and particularly white goods products, represents a specific segment, where matching end-consumers' requirements and 3PL’s efficiencies become an enormous task.

Teka Cares, as a Global SCM Project focused on premium last-mile logistics services, represents our Company’s commitment to unconventionally care for our customers, providing our highest-quality service in this segment. Coming from a robust and settled B2B logistics operator, the challenges to redesign our logistics to serve end consumers through drop shipping* delivery were diverse.

A clear definition of our internal value streaming became our first step, building together with our commercial colleagues the path towards a new tailored solution. Both Operations and Back-office teams had to widen their horizons to fully understand this new concept dimension – to connect and bring about a deep link between Brand and end-consumer. Home delivery demands expertise, higher transparency levels (applied to all offered services), and 3PL’s partners touting proven experience and a supportive engagement with the initiative.

“The Joint Effort Of Numerous Experts Made It Possible To Carry Out Teka Cares Project, Which Aims To Provide A Differentiated Service To Those Customers Who Demand High Standards Of Service And A High Rate Of Effectiveness”

Service is a must.

* Drop shipping is a form of retail business wherein the seller accepts customer orders without keeping stock on hand. Instead, in a form of supply chain management, the seller transfers the orders and their shipment details to either the manufacturer, a wholesaler, another retailer, or a fulfillment house, which then ships the goods directly to the customer.
