THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING
At the heart of this critical process is Costa Solutions, bringing structure to demanding warehouse operations through labor best practices, compliance and customer-centric operations. Renowned as one of Texas’ most dependable warehouse labor and freight support, the company specializes in delivering high-performance teams that turn supply chains into well-oiled machines of productivity.
Precision, Productivity and People
Costa’s services include time-tested, innovative and effective solutions for unloading, packaging, production support and warehouse services. The company stands apart through its productivity-based business model, which directly ties team member compensation to performance.
“We highly incentivize our team members for their speed, efficiency, safety and attendance. That allows us to have excellent throughput without our customers having to worry about hiring, dealing with insurance/injury claims, lawsuits, or safety,” says Chris Jaynes, president.
Costa’s service excellence is built on decades of hands-on experience. The company's story began during the “lawsuit era” of the mid-to late-1980s when warehouse operators across Texas were scrambling for legal protection. Back then, warehouse work was largely handled by freelance laborers. The whole system was rife with injury claims, lawsuits and liability nightmares. Chris’ father, who was working for a staffing agency at the time, recognized a market desperate for more structure. In response, he built a bonded, insured business that would offer precisely compliant structured labor for high-risk warehouse environments.
The reliability and trust it brought enabled the company to gain traction and eventually expand the scope of its services. Over time, Chris’ father formed a close friendship and informal working partnership with Costa’s other co-owner, Zach Dworaczyk’s father, who was running a similar operation in another region. Both families were pioneering the same approach of bringing structure, contracts and scalable labor solutions to an industry that had operated without them for decades.
Chris and Zach eventually followed in their fathers’ footsteps, each growing up in the business and building their own operations with Chris based in San Antonio and Zach in Houston, with both expanding into surrounding cities. Despite years of independent operations, their shared values and complementary business strategies made collaboration a natural next step. On January 1, 2022, they merged operations to unify efforts and expand their impact.
The merger marked a new chapter for Costa. The company now has more than 1,000 team members, strengthening its presence across Texas and is on the fast lane to becoming the region’s most trusted warehouse and freight support provider. Despite its strengths, Costa refrained from spreading itself too thin, choosing regional saturation over national expansion.
Today, the company combines the reliability and scale of a national provider with the responsiveness and relationship-driven service to some of the busiest, most critical distribution environments in Texas.
Reliability in the Face of Disruption
The true strength of Costa’s expertise emerges when tested by crisis. The company has repeatedly stepped in as a stabilizing force during natural disasters, most notably across Houston’s hurricane-prone region.
“When a Category 4 hurricane hits and the city floods, people can’t get to work. Stores need food. Aid needs distribution. From that perspective, we are the first responders who keep the supply chain moving,” says Dworaczyk. “We make it possible for our customers, who are often major food suppliers, to continue operating without glitches.”
From flooded roads to shut-down highways, Costa’s crews have pushed through physical and logistical barriers to help restock essential supplies.
A similar story unfolded during the COVID-19 pandemic. With strict regulations and curfews in place, Costa’s crews were issued official “essential worker” documentation by the state and federal government. This was a time when most people couldn’t drive on the freeway without the necessary passes. But team Costa ramped up its physical presence and kept going 24/7, driven by the belief that their work was essential to the survival of their communities.
A Vision for the Future
Despite its proven track record, Costa remains highly selective about the customers it takes on. The company seeks long-term, strategic partnerships where it can deliver value — not just labor.
Meanwhile, Costa continues to expand its presence across Texas and beyond. With a model based on legal compliance, operational efficiency, and human-centric leadership, the company is poised to expand without losing its regional focus or personal touch.
This is the Costa difference. Even after becoming an extremely successful, multi-generational business, its values have remained intact every step of the way. The company’s story is a rare mix of legacy and innovation, where old-school values like showing up and doing the job right meet modern systems and data-driven processes.
The result is a partner that goes above and beyond just freight solutions, helping companies stay resilient and keeping communities thriving. Most importantly, year after year, crisis after crisis, Costa proves that the best logistics partners aren’t the ones who show up when things are smooth—but the ones who show up in the chaos and help set things right.
