During the Pacific Northwest floods of 2021, southern British Columbia was severely affected, and transportation routes between Eastern and Western Canada were cut off. Leveraging its deep experience, the Accord Transportation team was able to pivot quickly and move freight through the U.S. and then back into Canada circumventing closed highways. It was also one of the first few carriers to approach the US Border Services Agency and transport goods to different parts of the country through bonded shipments so that people had access to essential goods during the distressful time.

During the same period, a number of carriers charged exorbitant rates. Accord Transportation resisted the opportunity to make a higher profit and continued to levy its rate per mile to clients, creating a long-lasting impression on them and strengthening customer relationships.
